Akil brings over 15 years of experience in public accounting, having worked in boutique, mid-market, and international firms across the Greater Toronto Area — including several years in progressive managerial and leadership roles. He is a graduate of Seneca Polytechnic and Laurentian University and has been a designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) since 2015. He has also completed all three levels of CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program, a nationally recognized three-year program that provides advanced training and deep expertise in Canadian taxation.

His core practice areas include succession planning, estates and trusts, cross-border tax (both inbound and outbound), and corporate reorganizations. Akil also brings broad industry experience, having worked with clients across professional services — including legal, medical, engineering, and architectural practices — as well as media, entertainment, hospitality, manufacturing (regional and international), investment-holding companies, and several other specialized sectors. Clients value his ability to develop thoughtful, customized strategies that align with their long-term objectives.
